What it is:

The flagship course of Dental ACE.  Learn foundational principles of servant leadership--leading by example--and introductory skills of canyoneering.

The class meets over a period of 8 weeks.  For the first six weeks, the class will meet virtually and be assigned weekly homeworks. The 7th week will take place in person over a Friday-Saturday in the beautiful red rock of Southern Utah. There, we will put to work the skills, both technical and abstract, that we have discussed and practiced over the last few weeks. Week 8 will be via zoom once more. 

What it is not:

This is not your normal lecture, check-a-box class.  You will be expected to participate in discussion, read, write, and prepare.  

This is NOT a canyoneering course.  While we will learn canyoneering skills, you should not consider yourself prepared to undertake canyons on your own after the class.
